Today is the dreaded day, presentation day.
I came at 11 AM today to burn the things into disc and rehearsal.
I managed to edit some more sounds, adding in final transition and fix some frames. We burnt a CD first for a backup. We managed to print the stickers, photo and fix the cd cover. Candice and Vivien also wrote some more description in the storyboard. I updated the storyboard a bit later.
At around 2 PM i managed to render out the final movie and now I am updating the blog while waiting for others to return from lunch.
We encountered a bit difficulties in the rendering to CD due to problems like files too big, or CD can't be read. Thus, we used Nafisah's 4096 MB RAM laptop to burn the CD. We also uploaded to teacher's computer beforehand.
At around 3+, we were chased out of the room as the presentation started soon after. Group 1 (raj's) to present theirs first. Their packaging was supremely well done. I bought folder when group 2 was presenting, thus I could not see theirs, I only know their ending was so tragic :<.
At last... it's our turn. We were so nervous as most people from previous groups give us a 'demoralising feedback'. I will skip to the chase, the things we need to improve are the research, some timing title and packaging materials. Most of us are a bit new in Photoshop, however I admit the colour was a bit bright.. I was quite happy that the animatics (except raped photos scenes' timing...) was praised that it's quite well done. We were also praised that we were creative enough to tweak the storyboard.

Day 07: Tuesday, 24th June 2008
I did not sleep last night due to the overloaded works.
Vivien fell asleep, so I came at 10 AM and no one was there. Thus, I decided to draw the 'raped women' scene. TY and Dempster was watching, it was embarassing.. really..
Anyway, as soon Shuxian, Candice and Vivien came, we rushed our works. I doing animatics, Shuxian and Candice doing poster + stickers + ppt slides + moodboard. Vivien helped me draw the storyboard scenes.
After I done that, I exported it in Jpeg sequence to put in premiere (to add sounds.) Shuxian brought her mikes but most computers could not work, so she and Candice helped me to find sounds. I exported each frames to make into storyboard, Shuxian then edit them in order in photoshop. Vivien will bring the storyboard home to write the descriptions.
We also took a group photo for the ppt slides. I hope our animatics will be up to standard, sicne due to time constraint, I was unable to optimise the sfx. Shuxian will bring the movie files home to be burned into CD. I left at around 11.30 PM .. oh gosh
I still got to do my MMfund.. another sleepless night? *sob*. Thus ends the tale of 24th June 2008

Day 06: Monday, 23rd June 2008
I was supposed to met Vivien at 10.30 AM, so I took cab (because I woke up late), however when I arrived Vivien was not htere yet D: ... another 5$ gone ka-poof.
Anyway, I continued doing my MMFund while waiting. I also animated 1 more scene, when Vivien came, we went to take more photos from 5th floor. Unfortunately, my battery ran out, so I used my handphone to take the picture. Then we returned to the 2D Art Lab to continue our work.
Candice and Shuxian were doing the moodboards. Vivian and I assisted (though not much) them. I also managed to glanced at the ppt slides and give some comments on it. It was pretty hectic due to time constraints.
At around 6 PM, Shuxian showed me the moodboards, they were excellent. However at around 7, I heard the printing shop was already closed, so we just continued on the animatics. Vivien and Candice had VisualPres, thus only Shuxian and I continued to work on it.
Alas, at around 9.30 PM (not long after Candice and Vivien rejoined), Shuxian's thumbdrive was corrupted, she lost not only the moodboards that she put all her efforts in, she also lost the files for her MMfund. We tried couple of stuff and Shuxian even requested for helps from others, however the effort was in vain. I am pretty pissed (scrap pissed, I am furious) with those people that had too much time in their hands and invented these virus just to kill time or impress/bother people. Looks like we will not be sleeping today to get things back in order.
When I reached home, I used MSN to ask Vivien to continue drawing and scan the frames. I planned to finish Animatics by today, but we'll see how. I wrote the blog while waiting for Vivien (I have also managed to brush up and add another scene into the animatics too).
I might not be sleeping today and I am in very bad mood (and I believe some others are even in a far worse mood than me) and thus will just end the blog at here. That is the end of 23rd June 2008, Monday diary.

Day 05: Sunday, 22nd June 2008
Today, Vivien came to my house at around 2 PM (......with her brother so don't think too far). Actually we're supposed to meet at 12PM at Bedok Interchange, however Vivien's parents offered a ride for them. I managed to kill my boredom by doing my *cough**cough*accursed*cough*cough MMfund.
We planned to finish most of our animatics today, however there are really too much things to do.
99% of the drawings were done by her. I scanned it and tried to do the animatics using Flash. Vivien's brother? I lent him my PSP to let him kill some time, luckily he enjoyed it.
i tried to animate some of the still shots, It ain't easy task i tell you... By 10 PM we only managed to do until the lift scenes. I ordered KFC and cooked some fried noodle (using my own 'disgusting' secret recipe) and surprisingly they enjoyed it, I'm so happy.
Vivien's parents fetch them soon after; so we promised to meet earlier tomorrow at 10.30 AM to continue. Candice managed to update us through MSN regarding her progress of the proposal and the powerpoint slides. As it is rather hard to see the synopsis online (and some MSN problem + lagging computer) I can't receive the ppt file. So I guess I will see it tomorrow.
Vivien apparenetly lose her thumbdrive during her visit. I felt so bad :<.

Day 04: Saturday, 21st June 2008
Oh no there is no APEL (Alfie) class today and no one notified me (and some others). I was sooooooooo sad because I also spent $$ to take cab (cause i woke up late..).
Anyway, in the morning Shuxian, Vivien and I went to take some pictures around the school. Vivien acted as Jill while I acted as Jack. Shuxian was the camera(wo)man. We took some pictures of the lift scenes and 5th floor scenes.
After that, Vivien went to her APEL class. So Shuxian and I (and some others) go for breakfast at Mc D. (these people are also the poor souls that took cab and thought there is Alfie class today). Vivien also asked me to buy her Mc.Chicken and Zinger (I was so lazy to walk to KFC so i just order Mc. Spicy for her). I asked the clerk to give me chilli twice and still haven't give me at end of the day ( I also forgot so yeah.. my fault too).
We went back around 11.30 as Vivien's APEL is finishing. Then, as soon as her class finish, Candice also joined us and went to take some more photos. We took the scenes at 5th floor again and then off to General Office area.
We also took the 'strangling scenes' *WARNING SPOILER* at the overhead bridge. Shuxian helped to act as the ghost while Candice took the photos for us. As everyone have plans for today, we were dismissed soon after.

Day 03: Friday, 20th June 2008
There is no Mr.Ronald class today, nut we still have our own group meeting.
We met at 1.30 PM (because some people including me came late). Shuxian and Candice were supposed to research on the proposal and setting up powerpoint slides, they also helped to find sfx.
Vivien drew the storyboard while I tried to put them in Flash to create the animatics. It was not an easy task as some of the drawings are already fixed and take numerous efforts to try to animate the still drawing.
For framing and angle we decided to use the crow as the main focus for our establishing shots. The crow will help to lead to the next scenes. Vivien and I went around to take some shots for her to draw. Then I asked Vivien to do some research about crows movement. Then I continued to animate as much as i can. I quite confused of what is the color of arrow movement, so I decided to use red as black is hard to see as quite blending with the background.

Day 02: Thursday, 19th June 2008
Today we met at Burger King after the event at CG Overdrive. Alas, we forgot to ask Mr. Ronald certain questions (perhaps because we are running out of time by then).
The things we discussed today included role assigning and deciding main storyline. We decided Vivien and I, will be doing moodboard and storyboard. Shuxian and Candice will be doing budget, equipment , crew and schedule planning, basically the whole proposal.
We also wished to do our final something like the animatics Mr. Ronald showed us.
We finished discussing at around 5- 5.15 PM as some people have night class (which I missed cause i got lost :<). We met a plan to start storyboarding and making proposal by tomorrow at 1 o' clock at 2D Art Lab (we might revise timing as some people will still not be able to confirm the meeting time yet).
The story is still a bit unclear. So at night Vivien called me to discuss about it some more.
We wanted to include twist. We established that Jack will be a rapist. He is trying to get close to Jill to make an approach of her. Jill will later on found out through certain incident that Jack is a rapist. Jill found out that Jack is a rapist. Jack will strangle Jill to keep her mouth shut but will soon be killed by the other ghost. At the next day, Jack and Jill never come to class. Oddly enough, no one in the class know anyone named Jill. Then a ghostly image of Jill appear behind the lecturer (without anyone noticing). We will also include light hints throughout the story that Jill is a ghost (but not obvious).
I will try to notify Candice and Shuxian as soon as possible to get their approvals of our newly established story.
